Hand bound leather journals and notebooks created by me. All of the leather used is Fair Trade Nigerian goatskin vegtable tanned and dyed here in the UK by Harmatan. Different colours/styles and sizes will be uploaded soon!
This is a lovely new journal hand bound by me using the cross bound technique. It is in two colours (Green and brown) of fair trade Nigerian goatskin, vegetable tanned and dyed by Harmatan. The front is green with 3 brown 'fingers' and the back is brown with 4 green 'fingers'
The exposed stitching on the spine is in pale green linen and has a lovely criss-crossed effect. There are two endapapers made from Japanese Chiyogami block printed paper in a leaf pattern and the plain paper in the journal is 190gsm acid-free, wood-free paper suitable for drawing and gouache.
There are 80 pages in this journal. This is a slightly reduced price due to a wonky 'finger' on the bottom of the spine exposing the paper. This doesn't affect the integrity of the piece in any way.

This beautiful little notebook which is approximately A6 size, is quarter bound and has a spine covered in lovely bright blue bookcloth and covers covered in a beautiful tropical pattern Japanese Chiyogami paper (Japanese lino printed paper).
The book is 72 pages long and the paper is 145gsm Zerkall mould made paper in a beautiful off-white. There are lovely pale blue endpapers.
This is a lovely contemporary take on a traditional binding style.
