This is a 25cm diameter fused glass piece mounted in a 7.5x7.5x7.5cm square waxed oak base. Europa is the smallest of Jupiter's Galilean moons, its surface is thought to be little more than scarred pack ice floating on top of a global ocean several kilometres deep. Europa is named for the mythical Phoenician noble woman who was courted by Zeus and became Queen of Crete.
