I have always been interested in the natural world. At school science and art were the two subjects I enjoyed the most. I collect rocks, shells and feathers, and love the simple beauty that comes in their design, shape and colours.

I also admire the processes that made them - evolution, weathering, decay. These processes are far immensely complicated and sometimes take thousands of years to happen. The smallest of details never fails to amaze me. Such beauty lies beyond our field of vision!

I also am intensely interested in physics. Maths has never been a strong point, so it is theoretical physics that I love, and the physics of space and astronomy.

Currently much of my work revolves around this, my latest framed panel designs form what I call the 'Space Series' where I use recycled dichroic glass and ordinary glass to create an abstract visual representation of space.

New ideas are constantly being formed and assessed, I just wish I had the time to pursue them all!

Having trained in ceramics, I miss the sculpting part of ceramics, something which I currently do not do anything of. I would like to return to this, but maintain my interest in glass, so I hope to begin designs and testing for simple pate de verre and glass casting forms a some pont in the near future.

I'll keep you posted!
